Pair of Silberwildfarbig Runners (also known as Streicher Runners). This colour type originated in Germany and most British breeders have a way to go before achieving the quality of German and Dutch birds.

We added some silver runners to our flock a couple of years ago. As our birds came originally from crosses between Abacot Ranger and (probably) White Runners and the breed has a way to go before it achieves the stability and quality of other Indian Runner colourtypes. Our birds are robust, good layers and we are getting near, albeit slowly, to achieving correct markings. See our page on experimental Welsh Harlequin/Chocolate Silver Runners for comparison.
